About the role

NewsNation is looking for a Segment Producer to work on the weekday primetime program Katie Pavlich Tonight.
This role involves contributing story ideas, compiling elements, and crafting engaging live segments and packages based on a wide range of topics ranging from political news to domestic news to international news.
The position is based at the network's offices in New York, NY.

Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Producer and Senior Producer or network leadership.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in journalism or related field.
Five or more years' experience in national or major-market news
Prior segment producing experience required
Prior line producing and live control room experience is helpful
Must exhibit strong news judgment and editorial sensibilities
Strong broadcast newswriting skills are required
Must be self-directing, self-motivating and able to work will with a diverse group of people
Must interact well with on-air talent, news managers, videographers, production, digital and engineering staff
Should be able to handle stress, including short deadlines
Should be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time
Must be able to work assigned shifts and be on call during overnights, mornings, and weekends/holidays
Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 (per experience)
