Responsibilities

  • Assist in-house attorneys in managing company litigation, including maintaining company's litigation docket, issuing and tracking document preservation notices, and organizing and producing documents in connection with e-discovery.
  • Maintenance and organization of electronic and physical litigation documents. Assistance with preparation and filing of court submissions. Preparation and maintenance of engagement letters with outside counsel.
  • Fully supports company's goal of continuous improvement, including reviewing area of responsibility for improvement opportunities,

Requirements

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Must be proficient in e-discovery software
  • Must have knowledge of Practical Law Connect and Westlaw
  • The successful candidate should possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, the ability to multi-task, a team-oriented mindset and strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Overtime work is occasionally required.

Nice to have

  • High school Diploma and paralegal certification required.
  • Additional college or business school preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with lawyers, preferably in major law firm and/or in a corporation.
  • Experience handling complex litigation and e-discovery is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with matter management (e.g., Serengeti/Legal Tracker), entity management system (e.g., hCue), and similar systems is strongly preferred.
