About the role
- As a PWI Mechanical Engineer you will work in a dynamic and changing environment, designing mechanical systems and sub-systems for current and next generation digital inkjet web press platforms.

Responsibilities
- Design engineering solutions for mechanical and electro-mechanical hardware based on established engineering principles in accordance with development technology practices and guidelines.
- Develop and implement parameters and test plans for new and existing designs, including validation of tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, electromagnetic interference, safety, reliability, system power measurements & acoustics.
- Lead and/or work on cross-functional, multi-disciplinary project teams with other engineers and development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions for highly-complex products.
- Collaborate and communicate with management, internal and outsourced development partners, and other key stakeholders regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
- Represent the mechanical design team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's (undergraduate) degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline (preference given to Mechanical Engineering, but relevant work experience/expertise will be considered)
- Ability to work across multiple technical disciplines
- Ability to adapt and respond quickly and appropriately to changing business needs
- 4-6 years of mechanical design experience
- Experience in delivering technical solutions and systems across all phases of the design cycle (concept through prototype through manufacturing through end of life/obsolescence)
- Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
- Proactive, innovative, self-motivating character
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate product architecture, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels
- Fluency in English
- The pay range for this role is $93,400 to $143,800 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
