Responsibilities

  • We collaborate closely with developers and operators of oil and gas pipelines and electric transmission systems, supporting both extensive linear projects and site-specific developments.
  • Work on energy infrastructure drafting and design projects.
  • Ability to create base maps, site plans, and existing conditions for infrastructure and utilities.
  • Adhere to company and industry design and drafting standards.
  • Works under the supervision of the Design & Drafting (D&D) Coordinator or Senior Drafter, but may operate under the direction of Drafter II's or Designers as assigned for specific project needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to adhere to company and industry design and drafting standards.
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates.
  • Associate of Arts and Science in Engineering, Drafting, Design, Graphic Arts, or related field a plus.

Requirements

  • Experience with site layout, utility design, boundary and easement plans, alignment sheets and details.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and Teams.
  • The ability to follow the Company's standard CAD procedures for layering, symbols, annotation, and standard procedures for sheet layout.
  • The ability to use AutoCAD tools to ensure objects are created accurately and to specifications provided.
  • Knowledge of model/paper space, units, scales and all required tools.
  • The ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • The ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use stairs, use hands, reach, talk and hear.

Nice to have

  • Entry-level to five years of experience drafting using AutoCAD.
