Responsibilities
- Act as lead counsel regarding provider relationship, strategy and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional legal partners on network products and solutions.
- Develop strong business relationships with stakeholders involved with Cigna's provider relationships.
- Ensure high-quality legal support to key internal clients.
- Maintain knowledge of regulatory and enforcement environment affecting the business.
- Assist business in developing measures to improve contracting governance and implementation.
- Strong communication skills and decisive decision-making are a must as the role will support senior management in a dynamic environment.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership required.
- 10+ years of legal experience in a corporate legal department and/or law firm.
- 3+ years of experience leading, managing, and developing attorneys and legal teams.
- Proven ability to advise senior leaders on legal, regulatory, and business strategy matters.
- Significant experience supporting provider contracting, provider relationships, and network strategy within the managed care, health insurance, or healthcare industry.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state healthcare laws, regulations, and government healthcare programs.
- Experience negotiating and drafting complex provider agreements, including value-based reimbursement and delegation arrangements.
- Strong communication, negotiation, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
- Hybrid work arrangement preferred for any office location

- For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 197,000 - 328,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
- This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.

Compensation
- For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 197,000 - 328,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
