  • Role Synopsis BPX Energy is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Production Systems Engineer to join our team and help revolutionize our US onshore operations.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new concepts, processes, software, and engineering and mathematical ideas.

Nice to have

  • Champion the adoption of best practices for software development, including version control, code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 7+ years experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly related to Petroleum Engineering, preferred
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, especially for data-intensive applications
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure
  • Competency with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Dagster+ preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • $165,000-$194,000
  • Note that the pay range listed for this position is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.
