About the role

Job Duties: Conduct driver license examinations, including automobile, motorcycle, and CDL knowledge, skills, and road tests; evaluate applicant performance and determine eligibility.

Experience working with the public in a customer service capacity or working with motor vehicle laws.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: The Motor Vehicle Examiner position requires basic knowledge of customer service principles and practices, as well as familiarity with computer systems and office software.

include experience providing customer service in a public-facing environment
experience handling cash transactions and maintaining accurate records
familiarity with state motor vehicle laws, licensing procedures, or regulatory requirements
proficiency with computer systems and data entry
experience working in a fast-paced office environment
bilingual communication skills
A clean driving record and experience operating a variety of motor vehicles are also preferred.
Successful applicants will be required to complete agency-provided training, including Driver License Examiner certification, fraud detection training, and defensive driving coursework.
