About the role

- In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our tool and die department, managing production schedules, quality standards, and a skilled team of tool and die makers and machinists.
Responsibilities
- Monitor CNC & equipment operations and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity
- Conduct quality inspections and implement corrective actions to ensure products meet precision specifications and customer requirements
- Develop and implement production schedules, allocating resources effectively to meet deadlines
- Maintain accurate production records, inventory management, and documentation for compliance and analysis
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to review specifications and resolve manufacturing challenges
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate with maintenance personnel to prevent operational disruptions
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a tool and die manufacturing or precision machining environment
- Proficiency in CNC machine programming and operation
- Strong understanding of precision measurement tools, gauges, and quality control procedures
- Demonstrated expertise in production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Proficiency with CAD software and familiarity with manufacturing documentation
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
Nice to have
- Experience with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production management software
