About the role

They work in various healthcare settings, such as hospitals, clinics, physician's offices, and outpatient care centers.

Performs all other related duties as assigned or requested by the Practice Administrator and Team Supervisor
Confidentiality - Maintains strict confidentiality and respect the privacy of others.
Conduct fibroscans, in preparation for providers examination. Implement provider orders promptly and with accuracy.
Maintain documentation of patient care services by scanning and completing patient and department records in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Document procedures, medication, delivery of care and pertinent information regarding care inside the EMR and 340B tracker.
Educate patient on medications and directions for use. Support patients and providers in the medication refill process. Notify patients with specialty pharmacy information, prior authorization process and any delays in processing order.

If required or necessary, make appointment for the patient for diagnostic procedures and/or with a specialist.
Cleans and prepares rooms between procedures and restock supplies.
EMT experience preferred to assist team in clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs and preparing patients for examinations
One (1) year of e-Clinical Works (eCW) or other EHR/EMR system experience preferred
Minimum 3 to 5+ years of Front and back MA office experience required

Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary or EMT
Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Social perceptiveness and service oriented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and planning skills
Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
The ideal candidate would preferably have a strong background and/or training with a Certification in Emergency Medicine or as an EMT

$21.00 - $25.00 per hour; depending on experience (specialty, clinic volume, front & back office preferred)
