About the role

  • Information System Security Engineer The Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) will serve as a key leader in our cybersecurity program, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure systems across the enterprise.
  • This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership skills to guide security architecture, enforce compliance, and mentor team members.
  • You will work closely with IT leadership, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to ensure security is embedded in every aspect of our technology ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • With the first generational leap in rocket engine technology since Apollo, our proprietary Rotating Detonation Rocket Engine and Venus Detonation Ramjets deliver historic efficiency and performance across aerospace applications.
  • Design and implement secure systems, networks, and applications aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans, lead investigations, and coordinate remediation efforts.
  • Maintain detailed security documentation, policies, and reports for audits and executive reviews.
  • Collaborate with IT, engineering, and business units to integrate security into all projects and initiatives.
  • Security Architecture & Engineering: Design and implement secure systems, networks, and applications aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Incident Response & Threat Management: Develop and maintain incident response plans, lead investigations, and coordinate remediation efforts.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed security documentation, policies, and reports for audits and executive reviews.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with IT, engineering, and business units to integrate security into all projects and initiatives.
  • Culture Building: Promote a security-first mindset across the organization through training, awareness programs, and leadership by example.
