About the role
- The Mechanical Engineer position requires a well-rounded engineer capable of evaluating customer's current processes and utilizing new processes and technologies.
- Requires adaptability and an open mind to work with multiple customers.
Responsibilities
- Confer with other engineers and personnel to develop processes, implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
- Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
- Design, evaluate, install, and operate mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
- Collaborate with other departments to solve unique automation problems.
- Support equipment development from conception to completion.
Requirements
- Required: 5 or more years' experience in the design and construction of automation machinery and equipment.
- Proficiency with both Solid Works and Auto Cad.
- Ability to work closely with electrical engineers and technicians to assure proper functioning of complete system.
- Travel to customer facilities for design reviews, equipment reviews, and other task as required.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or closely related field.
- Familiar with Allen Bradley control systems, software, and Fanuc Robotics.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or closely related field.
