About the role
- LI-COR is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to help architect, deploy, secure, and operate our global cloud-based IoT platforms for environmental data management.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute deployment plans for software releases across development, staging, and production environments.
- Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Manage observability and monitoring systems using Grafana, Prometheus, OpenSearch, and related tooling.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives including vulnerability remediation, patch management, log monitoring, and security posture assessments.
- Collaborate closely with Software Engineering, Product Management, IT, and Security teams.
- Support cloud deployments and operational compliance activities within the US and China.
- Support operational requirements related to MLPS, PIPL, cross-border data transfer controls, 21-CFR Part 11 audit logging, and cloud security architecture.
- Coordinate with legal, regulatory, and infrastructure partners regarding cloud operations and compliance.
- Develop operational tooling, scripts, dashboards, and infrastructure automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure engineering, or SRE-related roles.
