About the role

As a Test Engineer II at Sierra Space, you will utilize your knowledge and experience to contribute to the testing and validation of aerospace systems and components.
You will participate in the planning, execution, and documentation of Verification and Validation (V&V) activities.

Developing, scheduling, executing, and documenting test events to Verify and Validate (V&V) aerospace systems and components
Develop products such as test plans, procedures, and scripts to support test execution
Identify and define necessary test support equipment
Effectively coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams to design and develop appropriate test products
Manage adherence to program budgets/schedule throughout test development and execution phases
Create and present information effectively to team members and senior engineers
Identify process gaps and work to implement solutions

Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)
Typically 2+ years of related experience
Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Working knowledge of Product and Quality Assurance principles and experience with generation and disposition of product non-conformances
Ability to read/interpret schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical troubleshooting techniques
Basic experience with various testing equipment, standards, and methodologies
This role requires strong knowledge of engineering principles and the ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams to solve technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.

Strong communication skills to clearly and effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences

$91,158.00 - $125,364.00
Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
