About the role

  • What The Role Is This position reports to the Plant Manager and has primary responsibility for the VP/Arica assets located in Desert Center, CA.
  • The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, relevant and demonstrated experience, education, training and certifications, and other factors permitted by law.
  • Salary Range Across all U.S. Locations $100,000 - $115,000 USD Clearway Energy Group is leading the transition to a world powered by clean energy.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the plant maintenance program based on best practices in the PV industry, with an emphasis on safety, planning/scheduling, and preventive/predictive maintenance.
  • Monitors and manages the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, equipment, tools, and reordering as necessary.
  • Develop standard work procedures.
  • Primary responsibility: responsible to maintain sites availability at the highest state of operability, meeting contractual obligations, and budget
  • Qualified to perform all routine and emergency operations at an electric generation facility and HV Switchyard.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain PV solar sites at high availability.

  • Our site-based employees collaborate in-person daily to keep our locations operating safely and efficiently while fostering strong relationships within their local communities.

Requirements

  • Maintain logs and records as required to record complete operating conditions for the facility and report and irregularities.
  • Participate in contract negotiations with sub-contractors and other vendors for parts and services required.
  • Work overtime and non-standard working hours - (nights) as required
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3 years of experience in the operation of Commercial Solar plants or 5 years of equivalent experience in instrumentation & controls, MV/HV Electrical work.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office software to include spread sheet and document applications.

Nice to have

  • Journeyman electrician preferred

Compensation

  • $100,000 - $115,000 USD
