About the role

  • The Healthcare team at Guggenheim Securities ("GS") is seeking an experienced Associate to join its team located in New York, with a focus on the Biopharma industry.
  • Candidates will join a highly collaborative team responsible for providing M&A advisory and capital raising service and capabilities to corporate clients.
  • GS offers a unique opportunity to work as part of small client teams on major strategic assignments, providing meaningful exposure to senior bankers and client representatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor the development of complex financial models and valuation analysis
  • Build and develop relationships with clients through ongoing engagement and demonstration of financial and industry knowledge
  • Gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, develop and communicate recommendations to senior leadership

Requirements

  • 4+ years of investment banking experience or an MBA with a minimum of 1+ years of experience in IB

Nice to have

  • Significant level of maturity and the ability to work as a team interfacing with top company executives and senior management
  • Solid interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to senior management and/or senior clients
  • A proven track record of high intellectual horsepower throughout academic and professional career

Skills

  • Contribute to the creation of strategic frameworks, tools, and intellectual property to aid business development activities of the firm

Compensation

  • Annual base salary between $175,000 and $200,000.
  • The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position.
  • The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
