About the role
- Candidates must demonstrate professionalism, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to handle multiple priorities, and work in an organized and efficient manner.
- Follows-up with attorney on status of active client matters.
- Monitors, collects and follows-up on and reviews of time entries in preparation for generating client invoices.
Responsibilities
- The Practice Group Assistant will work closely with attorneys and staff in connection with matters relating to billing functions as well as providing support on organizational, administrative and practice specific matters.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Comfort with demanding deadlines and flexibility to work overtime as required
- Ability to handle confidential, sensitive, and proprietary information discreetly
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience assisting with the billing process in law firm required.
- Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Compensation
- $33.73 - $37.32 per hour
- Salary will be determined based upon education, experience, job related factors permitted by law, internal equity, and market data, including geographic pay differentials in locations where market pay differs from the national average.
