About the role
- HDD LOCATOR - TELECOM GCS is looking for competent and experienced Horizontal Directional Drilling Locator to work on telecom installation projects in the Red Deer area.
- The successful candidates will be determined by their experience and attitude toward working in demanding environments with long hours.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and exertion of whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling of materials
- Maintain communications with the Driller by radio at all times
Requirements
- 3+ years of HDD locating experience
- Knowledge of and experience working with underground utilities
- Ability to read and interpret plans, locates or diagrams
- Must be able to work in varied weather conditions
- Ability to account for various soil conditions and inclines (topography) when drilling
- Ability to think and react to changing conditions quickly
