About the role
- This position will be classified as a Research Administrator III.
- Services and activities include the proposal writing process and budget development to award close out.
- This is a three-year, fixed term position with the opportunity for renewal.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective pre-award research administration processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, sponsors, and partner institutions to support successful proposal development.
- Research development and activities of the Nanovaccine Institute are centered on a transdisciplinary approach to transform the design and manufacturing of vaccines and therapeutics that integrates nanotechnology, materials science, immunology, oncology, neuroscience, microbiology, clinical science, and social science.
- Nanovaccines and nanomedicines developed by the Nanovaccine Institute are designed to encompass bedside-to-bench-and-back considerations including supply chain economics and deployment on a global scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience
Nice to have
- Experience applying the concepts embodied in the Code of Federal regulations including 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
- Experience that demonstrates knowledge of research administration software systems.
- Experience with budget review and management.
