About the role

  • Apogee Architectural Metals Job Overview Machine Operator I sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Uses computer-controlled equipment to select, position and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines.
  • Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating machines.
  • Perform assigned tasks.
  • Maintain an appropriate work pace.

Requirements

  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry).
  • Must be cross-trained and able to support all Operator I roles.
  • Ability to follow standardized procedures for setting up and operating machines.
  • Familiarity with reading simple work orders or production instructions.
  • Basic problem-solving ability to identify and report machine malfunctions.
