About the role
- Apogee Architectural Metals Job Overview Machine Operator I sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Uses computer-controlled equipment to select, position and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines.
- Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.
Responsibilities
- Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating machines.
- Perform assigned tasks.
- Maintain an appropriate work pace.
Requirements
- Required Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry).
- Must be cross-trained and able to support all Operator I roles.
- Ability to follow standardized procedures for setting up and operating machines.
- Familiarity with reading simple work orders or production instructions.
- Basic problem-solving ability to identify and report machine malfunctions.
