About the role

  • We also offer technical labor and equipment rentals in North America with a specific focus on live events.
  • We have representation in Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, and Philadelphia., allowing us to serve North America from coast to coast.
  • The Associate AV Designer will also assist in fixture research and conduct lighting studies and photometric reports.

Responsibilities

  • Support the lead AV designer
  • Translate designer mark-ups into project design documents
  • Produce design documents
  • Perform QAQC on all client deliverables
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Theater, Film/TV, Theme Park, and/or Museum Design and Specification Experience
  • Working knowledge of theatrical AV design
  • 3+ years experience in AV and show design
  • Ability to deliver on a Project's established scope, schedule, and budget
  • The right candidate has strong organizational skills, the ability to manage deadlines, prioritize, and adjust as needed.

Requirements

  • Proficient in either Vectorworks or AutoCAD with experience in 3D
  • Working knowledge of architectural and facility requirements and integration of lighting equipment into an attraction, museum, or live event
  • Must be able to read architectural blueprints and interpret electrical drawings
  • Strong understanding of current technology and industry standards for all aspects of AV design, as applied to live show and facility infrastructure systems
  • Successful candidates may be required to travel domestically and internationally and must be comfortable working closely with clients and vendors of different cultural backgrounds.
  • Successful candidates must have a valid passport with no travel restrictions or the ability to obtain one within 6 weeks after employment.

Compensation

  • 100% match of the first 4% deferred salary.
