About the role
- We also offer technical labor and equipment rentals in North America with a specific focus on live events.
- We have representation in Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, and Philadelphia., allowing us to serve North America from coast to coast.
- The Associate AV Designer will also assist in fixture research and conduct lighting studies and photometric reports.
Responsibilities
- Support the lead AV designer
- Translate designer mark-ups into project design documents
- Produce design documents
- Perform QAQC on all client deliverables
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Theater, Film/TV, Theme Park, and/or Museum Design and Specification Experience
- Working knowledge of theatrical AV design
- 3+ years experience in AV and show design
- Ability to deliver on a Project's established scope, schedule, and budget
- The right candidate has strong organizational skills, the ability to manage deadlines, prioritize, and adjust as needed.
Requirements
- Proficient in either Vectorworks or AutoCAD with experience in 3D
- Working knowledge of architectural and facility requirements and integration of lighting equipment into an attraction, museum, or live event
- Must be able to read architectural blueprints and interpret electrical drawings
- Strong understanding of current technology and industry standards for all aspects of AV design, as applied to live show and facility infrastructure systems
- Successful candidates may be required to travel domestically and internationally and must be comfortable working closely with clients and vendors of different cultural backgrounds.
- Successful candidates must have a valid passport with no travel restrictions or the ability to obtain one within 6 weeks after employment.
Compensation
- 100% match of the first 4% deferred salary.
