  • The Department Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Three-Piece Department.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and follows the SQF (Safe Quality Food) guidelines of the food safety system.
  • Establishes and implements improvements for cost reduction, quality, and safety programs.
  • Develops and manages the department budget, ensuring cost effective operations and adherence to financial targets.
  • Manages and coaches plant supervisors, working closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Understands, completes, and maintains environmental documentation for which the individual is trained, or as directed by the Emergency Commander or Emergency Manager (i.e. inspections, labeling, record keeping, maintenance of equipment, etc.)
  • Maintains awareness and complies with hazardous waste management and other environmental management requirements in the workplace.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Requirements

  • Broad training in a related field usually acquired through a Bachelor of Science or through equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of job-related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to handle sensitive related and proprietary information in a confidential manner.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines while paying attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data in order to make recommendations.
  • Ability to wear appropriate safety glasses, hearing protection, clothing, and footwear in appropriate areas and follow safety practices.
  • This includes correcting unsafe acts/conditions, participating in monthly safety meetings, performing monthly safety inspections, and investigating accidents, as required.

Compensation

  • The annual base salary range for this role is from $XX to $YY, plus an annual target bonus of ZZ% of base salary.
