About the role
- Inventory accuracy is the foundation of everything we promise our merchants.
- This is a high-visibility leadership role for someone who loves turning operational complexity into clarity: part strategist, part builder, part detective.
Responsibilities
- Own network-wide inventory accuracy and shrink performance, defining KPIs, targets, and accountability structures across all fulfillment centers
- Design and standardize inventory QC programs: cycle counting methodologies, audit cadences, root-cause analysis frameworks, and corrective action processes
- Lead and develop a distributed team of inventory control managers and analysts across multiple sites
- Partner with warehouse operations, engineering, and product teams to embed quality controls into our WMS workflows and automation
- Run root-cause investigations on discrepancies, shrink, and damage - and drive the systemic fixes, not just the patches
- Set inbound quality standards with receiving teams and hold vendors and freight partners accountable
- We invest over $10 million annually in research and development to ensure our technology and services continually evolve, helping merchants plant roots with a partner who is here to stay.
- ShipMonk isn't just a 3PL; we're a growth partner for merchants.
- We believe in building for the long term, and our success is powered by five key differentiators that help us become true partners to our merchants.
- Unrivaled Support: We provide hands-on, "mom and pop" support with a global reach.

- Career growth in a company that's profitable, and still scaling fast
- Experience with lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies (certification a plus)
- Willingness to travel regularly to fulfillment centers across the network (~[25-40%] - TBD)
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
Compensation
- Support merchant-facing teams during inventory escalations, audits, and annual physical counts
