- The Helix School is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Special Education Teacher for the 2026-20267 school year.
- You'll work closely with specialists and families to ensure that each child's individualized needs are supported.
Responsibilities
- Deliver developmentally appropriate, differentiated instruction across core subject areas
- Support foundational literacy, numeracy, communication, and executive functioning skills
- Create a classroom environment that promotes predictability, safety, and connection
- Implement visual supports, sensory strategies, and structured routines
- Lead the IEP process, including goal development, progress monitoring, and meetings
- Collaborate closely with aides, therapists, and families
- A playful, warm, and grounded presence that supports regulation and connection
- Skill in differentiated instruction, behavior supports, and visual teaching strategies
Requirements
- Experience teaching neurodivergent students, particularly those with autism
