About the role

  • This position is located in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), VA Augusta Healthcare System (VAAHCS) in Augusta, Georgia located in the Spinal Cord Injury Service.
  • The Occupational Therapist provides evaluation and treatment for Veterans with spinal cord injury/disease across inpatient, outpatient, and home-care settings.
  • Certification: Candidates must possess a current NBCOT certification as an OT.

Requirements

  • English Proficiency: Candidates must be proficient in spoken and written English to be appointed as authorized by 38 U.S.C. § 7403(f).
  • NOTE: The baccalaureate degree must be from an approved program prior to the AOTA January 1, 2005 decision that ACOTE would only accredit master or doctoral degree programs in occupational therapy.
  • OR, Master's Degree or higher in occupational therapy.

Nice to have

  • 1 year Spinal Cord Injury Rehab experience and modality certification preferred.
