Responsibilities

  • The Mechanical Design Engineer will perform conceptual development and modeling of energetic components and systems for aerospace and defense programs.
  • Develop 3D product models to meet customer design requirements
  • Incorporate design for manufacturing, cost, and performance.
  • Support project and operations teams
  • Support existing products and product upgrades
  • Performs design trade studies and hand calculations
  • Perform tolerance studies
  • Support bid and proposal activities.
  • EBAD seeks an accomplished engineer for the position Mechanical Design Engineer, reporting to the Mechanical Design Lead.

Requirements

  • The successful candidate must have a BS/MS in an engineering discipline and experience with the design of aerospace and defense products.
  • A degree can be waived based on significant years of relevant experience.
  • Required experience includes:
  • Generate 2D drawings as required for TDP creation.

Nice to have

  • SolidWorks preferred.
  • Desired skills: CAD experience

Skills

  • CAD experience; SolidWorks preferred.
  • Experience with energetic materials a plus.
  • Demonstrated history of driving tasks to closure.
