About the role

This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys combining product thinking with strong engineering judgment.

Lead and grow a small team of engineers responsible for internal platforms and product experiences used across Datadog engineering.
Lead and cultivate a team of engineers with a diverse skill-set, including performance management and career development.
Own and drive relationships with engineering teams and major stakeholders helping to prioritize impact towards the team's north star.

You have experience managing engineers working on internal platforms, developer tooling, infrastructure tooling, product platforms, or similar internally focused systems.
You have strong technical judgment across distributed systems, internal tools, APIs, data models, and user-facing engineering workflows.
You have significant experience in one or more backend languages, such as Go, Python, Java, or similar

You have a BS/MS/PhD in a Computer Science, Engineering or related scientific field or equivalent professional experience.
