About the role

The future is bright for the Porch Group, and we'd love for you to be a part of it as our Underwriter Technician
Under general supervision, they are responsible for the timely and accurate processing of low‑complexity quotes, endorsements, inspections, renewals, reinstatements, cancellations, underwriting claim referrals and agent/insured correspondence.

Perform a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines
Maintain an understanding of state guidelines and state ‑specific forms.
Use research and analysis to develop practical underwriting solutions consistent with organizational objectives.
Maintain a basic understanding of personal lines products, coverages, and eligibility.

3+ years' work experience, including some experience in Insurance
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of policy processing procedures and documentation.
Basic knowledge of applicable insurance products.
Proven team member with strong collaboration skills.
Demonstrated competenc y in performing non-routine tasks while following established procedures and guidelines.
Ability to multitask and solve problems effectively.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
