About the role

Reports To: Chief of Police FSLA: Non Exempt SUMMARY A police officer prevents, detects, and investigates all crime, enforces traffic laws and regulations, and investigates accidents.
The goal is to provide a safe and secure campus and to assist faculty, staff and students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent
CLEET Police Officer Certified, must complete a minimum of 25hrs CLEET continuing education to include 2hrs mental health and firearms requalification per year to retain certification.
Successful completion of the Council of Law Enforcement Education and Training Program for Police Officers. Possession of a valid Oklahoma driver's license.
