About the role

  • Reports To: Chief of Police FSLA: Non Exempt SUMMARY A police officer prevents, detects, and investigates all crime, enforces traffic laws and regulations, and investigates accidents.
  • The goal is to provide a safe and secure campus and to assist faculty, staff and students.

  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CLEET Police Officer Certified, must complete a minimum of 25hrs CLEET continuing education to include 2hrs mental health and firearms requalification per year to retain certification.
  • Successful completion of the Council of Law Enforcement Education and Training Program for Police Officers. Possession of a valid Oklahoma driver's license.
