About the role
- Bain Capital Credit founded as Sankaty Advisors in 1998, is a leading global credit specialist with approximately $50 billion in assets under management.
- Bain Capital Credit invests up and down the capital structure and across the spectrum of credit strategies, including leveraged loans, high-yield bonds, distressed debt, private lending, structured products, non-performing loans and equities.
- In addition to credit, Bain Capital invests across asset classes including private equity, public equity and venture capital, and leverages the firm's shared platform to capture opportunities in strategic areas of focus.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing world class support to numerous teams across the firm, including the trading desk, investor relations, finance and fund management teams across BCC investment platforms
- Collaborate with fellow team members to provide robust support across the firm
- Build, manage, and enhance relationships with other internal teams and external partners
Requirements
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented and energetic professional with ability to think creatively
- Proficiency in Excel
- An eagerness to further develop one's own skills and the drive to expand one's knowledge of the fixed income trading environment.
- Ambition to improve upon current operational processes
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Robust interpersonal skills with capacity to interact with outside parties and personnel across all levels of the firm
- Dedicated team player with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through skills
- Ability to read and decipher complex legal documents
Nice to have
- 1-2 years of fixed income experience preferred
- Exposure to the portfolio accounting system Advent Geneva preferred
- Proficiency in Bloomberg preferred
- Exposure to syndicated and/or private credit bank loans a plus
Compensation
- Expected Annual Base Salary $70,000 - $78,000
- Actual base salary will be determined by a wide range of factors including but not limited to role, function, level, experience, qualifications and geographic location.
- In addition to a competitive base salary, this position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based upon factors such as individual impact, team and firm performance.
