About the role
- You're not just a code contributor-you care about how your systems are deployed, monitored, and managed in production.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with frontend, product, and design teams to translate product requirements into robust technical solutions
- Integrate AI capabilities into services-building pipelines, managing inference, or orchestrating external AI APIs
- Document technical process and create standard operating procedure within the engineering team
- Drive backend architecture decisions, influencing system design, data models, and service interfaces
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5+ years of experience in backend engineering roles
- Proficiency in one or more backend languages: Go, Java, Python, TypeScript
- Deep knowledge of modern API protocols: REST, gRPC, GraphQL
- Experience supporting production systems end-to-end: development, deployment, monitoring
Nice to have
- exposure to AI/ML services, whether through API integration or internal tooling
- Ability to work 5 days a week in our San Francisco office with a fully in-person team
Compensation
- The estimated salary range for this role is $205,000-$250,000.
- Total compensation for this position may also include stock options.
- Note that total compensation for this position will be determined by each individual's relevant qualifications, work experience, skills, and other factors.
