About the role

  • This role is ideal for an accounting professional who has gained speed and autonomy on day-to-day transactions and begin taking on broader analytical and cross-functional responsibilities.
  • Respond to and resolve vendor and customer inquiries; escalate complex issues appropriately.
  • Assist with ERP optimization projects and contribute to system enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage accounts payable and/or accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
  • Maintain, reconcile, and analyze general ledger accounts; identify trends and flag issues proactively.
  • Support audit and tax preparation activities, serving as a reliable point of contact for documentation and inquiries.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives - identify inefficiencies and propose and implement solutions.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests from leadership.
  • Perform complex account reconciliations and bank reconciliations, independently investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Lead or significantly contribute to month-end and year-end close processes, including financial statement preparation.

Requirements

  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail - you catch the things others miss.
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and improve processes in a complex and growing environment.

  • Prepare, review, and post journal entries with a higher degree of autonomy and accuracy.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Oracle.
