About the role

Our Data Engineering team is right at the heart of security, big data, and cloud computing.
We process nearly 1PB of data every day with 99.99% uptime, delivering near real-time security insights to our customers.
We've moved away from the old "gatekeeper" model; instead, our quality engineers are embedded right in the development squads.

Team Leadership: You'll lead and mentor 10+ engineers, fostering a culture of shared ownership.
Operational Support: You'll help with production deployments and lead root-cause analysis when things go wrong.
Advocacy: You'll build trust through influence, acting as a passionate champion for quality and customer success across the entire organization.

4+ years of management experience leading distributed teams of 10+ people.
Experience with contract/consumer-driven testing or chaos engineering is a big plus.
Deep experience with data systems like Postgres, Clickhouse, Trino, Spark, Iceberg, Kinesis, Kafka, and cloud-native architectures.
Strong familiarity with AI-driven tooling, including evaluating AI-generated tests and code quality.
Great communication skills-you're comfortable influencing others and explaining quality goals to both technical and non-technical folks.
Prior hands-on experience in a Senior IC role is preferred.
BSCS degree or equivalent required, MSCS or equivalent strongly preferred.

The salary range for this position is as listed below.
The successful candidate's starting pay will also be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, location, and market conditions.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the On Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target commission amount at 100% goal achievement.
In addition to salary, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus plan (for non-sales roles) and a stock award program.
$182,500 - $260,500 USD
