About the role
- Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct high-volume outbound calls to educational institutions, personal references, and other third-party contacts to verify applicant information during pre-employment screening.
- Follow up on unresolved verifications to ensure timely completion within established hiring timelines.
- Conduct regular audits of drug testing rosters to verify employee assignments align with company policy, job functions, and work locations; update records and correct discrepancies as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation on all verification attempts and outcomes.
- Collaborate with Onboarding Specialists, Hiring Managers, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files, records, and documentation.
- Perform administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes (layoffs, resignations, terminations, extended leaves of absence).
- Provide clerical support to the HR department.
- Perform additional HR-related tasks as assigned.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy;
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Perform periodic audits of HR files to ensure required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Required Skills and Experience:
Nice to have
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred;
- Three years of office experience preferred, with at least one year in human resources highly preferred.
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software;
- Proficient with or able to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS) and similar computer applications;
- Valid State-Issued ID and pre-employment background check will be required.
