About the role

  • Interact with customer visits (offsite or onsite) as needed.
  • Interact with suppliers as needed for audits, certifications and purchased material concerns.
  • Assist with compliant analysis and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers accurate and timely test results.
  • Lead / coordinate corrective actions.
  • Support Continuous Improvement projects and 6S events.
  • Support Layered Process Audits.
  • Perform related duties as directed by Quality Manager.
  • Summary: Reporting to the Quality Manager, this position is responsible for the testing of wires and cables, maintains the calibration of testing equipment, compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality of products, assists Quality Engineers and Quality Manager, and implements and maintains the Quality Management System in support of the ISO and Nuclear programs.

Requirements

  • Experience with Wire and Cable, Fiber Optic, Nuclear, Flame testing, Electrical and Mechanical testing.
  • Experience with data analysis and database computer programs.
  • Ability to use various laboratory testing tools.
  • Must have good attention to details.
  • Must be able to lead projects.
  • Ability to work well with a team and be a self-starter.
  • Minimum of 5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in Quality systems auditing
  • Experience in Wire and Cable Industry
  • Lead associates to effectively perform required testing and reporting of quality data.
