Responsibilities
- Working with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production including specification, design, prototyping, validation and testing
- Intake robotic concepts and high level requirements and create kinematic concepts based on a family of components
- Drive dynamics evaluation using MATLAB dynamics examination tools
- Design and adaptation of holistic hardware solutions for ambiguous problems with fluid requirements
Requirements
- 5+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience designing, building, or analyzing robotic systems.
- Strong understanding of robot dynamics and kinematics principles.
- Proficiency with CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, for mechanical design analysis - Deep knowledge of actuator hardware including motors, gearboxes, and electrical components.
- Experience working with and adapting existing codebases to solve new problems - Excellent ability to handle ambiguity, prioritize work, and determine critical analysis needs.

Nice to have
- Knowledge of SolidWorks simulation or Ansys Finite Element analysis tools.
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
- Experience with AI-assisted coding tools and modern development workflows
- Familiarity with robot performance characterization and testing methodologies
- Background in production robotics or warehouse automation
- System-level understanding of robotic systems including controls and motion planning
