Responsibilities

  • Working with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production including specification, design, prototyping, validation and testing
  • Intake robotic concepts and high level requirements and create kinematic concepts based on a family of components
  • Drive dynamics evaluation using MATLAB dynamics examination tools
  • Design and adaptation of holistic hardware solutions for ambiguous problems with fluid requirements

Requirements

  • 5+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience designing, building, or analyzing robotic systems.
  • Strong understanding of robot dynamics and kinematics principles.
  • Proficiency with CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, for mechanical design analysis - Deep knowledge of actuator hardware including motors, gearboxes, and electrical components.
  • Experience working with and adapting existing codebases to solve new problems - Excellent ability to handle ambiguity, prioritize work, and determine critical analysis needs.
  • Proficiency with CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, for mechanical design analysis
  • Deep knowledge of actuator hardware including motors, gearboxes, and electrical components

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of SolidWorks simulation or Ansys Finite Element analysis tools.
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
  • Experience with AI-assisted coding tools and modern development workflows
  • Familiarity with robot performance characterization and testing methodologies
  • Background in production robotics or warehouse automation
  • System-level understanding of robotic systems including controls and motion planning
