About the role
- This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of a flexographic folder-gluer to produce quality product safely and efficiently.
- Assist operator with set up, operation, and monitoring machine to produce corrugated products and recording operational data
- Review work orders or production schedules to determine: specifications such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, scores and printing; or dimensions and tolerances
Responsibilities
- Maintain production records, such as quantities, downtime and production issues
- Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
- Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job
Requirements
- Utilize computer to input production data as required
- Clean and perform preventative maintenance on machine as required
- Safety sensitive position. ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
- Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed
- Ability to effectively work in teams
- Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
Skills
- Select and install machine components such as plates and die boards, using hand tools
- Adjust guide assemblies, forming bars, and folding mechanisms according to specifications, using hand tools
- Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
