About the role
- Aviva Global Corporate & Specialty has an exciting opportunity within our Construction, Renewable Energy, and Mining team in the Corporate Risk Group.
- We are seeking an Underwriting Specialist with strong industry experience in the construction sector to help expand our presence in the large, complex risk market.
- This is a newly created role within a specialized, industry-focused team, offering strong visibility, growth, and leadership opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Drive profitable growth by identifying and securing opportunities within large-scale infrastructure, energy, and resource-based risks
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional service and deepen market presence in targeted industries
- Lead external performance and strategic meetings with MGAs, offering forward-looking insights tied to industry trends
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance data quality, reporting, and underwriting efficiency
- Support continuous improvement in underwriting processes, governance, and best practices
Requirements
- Experience with contractors' equipment, energy assets, or mining operations, depending on focus area
- Strong relationship management experience with brokers and clients in specialized markets
Compensation
- The salary band for this position ranges from $ 1 0 0,000 to $1 5 0,000.
- The final compensation package will be determined based on the successful candidate's qualifications and alignment to an appropriate internal level.
