  • SUMMARY The Plant Accounting Specialist is responsible for maintaining the ensuring adequate contractor materials and invoices.

Responsibilities

  • We deliver fiber and fixed wireless solutions with a personal, local touch.
  • In partnership with Middle Tennessee Electric, we're expanding broadband access to underserved areas, making this an exciting time to join our growing team and build your career.
  • Regularly maintain accuracy, attention to detail, and productivity while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

Requirements

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned as required.
  • High school diploma and a minimum of three years of relevant work experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related business field may substitute for work experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong ability to review, analyze, and interpret reports within company systems.
  • Typing speed of 40+ WPM and proficiency with a 10-key required.
  • Experience creating and maintaining standardized procedures and documentation.
  • Required Qualifications
  • Proficient in using office equipment, software applications, and financial systems, including the Innovative Systems Financials platform.
  • Strong mathematical and accounting skills, including balancing financial statements.
  • Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the public.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT: This role operates in a professional office environment with frequent collaboration between Accounting, Engineering, contractors, and operations teams.
