About the role
- Brookfield Credit is seeking a Manager, Controllership and Treasury to oversee controllership, treasury operations, financial consolidations, and operational accounting across the credit platform.
- This is a hands-on leadership role that requires an entrepreneurial mindset.

Responsibilities
- Brookfield Credit manages approximately $305 billion of assets globally, focused on a broad range of private credit investment strategies, including infrastructure and renewable credit, real estate, asset backed, and corporate credit.
- The business combines Brookfield's substantial credit history with strategic partners, including Oaktree Capital Management, Castlelake, LCM Partners, 17Capital, and Primary Wave Music.
- Prepare financial analysis, management reporting, and presentation materials to support senior leadership's decision-making and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure compliance with Brookfield accounting policies and applicable accounting standards (IFRS and/or U.S. GAAP).
Nice to have
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial consolidations, including intercompany eliminations and consolidation adjustments.
- Research complex accounting issues and prepare technical accounting memoranda supporting significant transactions.
- Evaluate accounting implications of investments, restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, and treasury activities.
- Oversee day-to-day treasury operations for Brookfield Credit entities
- Review and approve wire transfers and treasury transactions in accordance with internal control policies.
- Coordinate funding activities, capital calls, distributions, and intercompany cash movements.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex Accounts Payable issues and payment exceptions.
- Identify opportunities to streamline AP workflows and strengthen operational controls.
Compensation
- Provide guidance to the controllership team for quarter-end and annual financial close across multiple legal entities.
