About the role

  • These courses are delivered via printed study guides and supplemented by assigned readings.
  • Exams will be administered by preapproved proctors, and all student work submitted through standard mail.
  • Whenever possible instructors are encouraged to use Open Educational Resources (OER) in course development rather than traditional textbooks.

Responsibilities

  • Instructors are responsible for maintaining digital gradebooks and collaborating regularly with PEP staff to issue grades and support other administrative processes.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in the subject of instruction OR a master's degree in any area of study and a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the subject of instruction.

Compensation

  • PEP instructors offering correspondence courses receive $600 for the development of course materials, including a course syllabus, study guide, assignment prompts, exams, and assessment tools.
