About the role

  • Serve as a first point of contact for campus customers by responding to routine HR inquiries via phone, email, and/or ticketing system, providing timely and courteous customer service.
  • Provide guidance to campus users on routine HR processes and system navigation, using job aids, documentation, and established procedures.
  • Research and respond to common HR questions using available resources and knowledge base materials; escalate non-routine or complex issues to appropriate HR staff as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support the HR Generalist team during peak service periods by assisting with workload volume and maintaining service levels.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information and adhere to university policies, procedures, and data security requirements.

Requirements

  • A strong customer service mindset and the ability to translate complex HR concepts into clear guidance are essential.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Skills

  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Skill in troubleshooting system errors.

Compensation

  • $32-34.41 per hour

  • Because of its customer service nature, this is an in-office position that adheres to a standard work schedule.
  • The majority of time is spent sitting at a desk at a computer workstation, and moving around the office to assist customers.
  • Limited travel around the campus, and off-campus, may be necessary.
