About the role
- PREREQUISITES FOR SUCCESS: - BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: REPORTS TO: President WORKS WITH: Controller, Assistant Controller, Regional Financial Analyst, Clayton Group Accounting, Land Development and department leadership within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Maintain strong internal controls and segregation of duties.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- LEADS: Assistant Controller, Regional FP&A Analyst
Requirements
- Ensures that all corporate and required accounting policies and procedures are documented and followed by the organization.
- Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and construction industry regulations.
Nice to have
- BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5-7+ years of accounting experience required.
- Experience in residential construction or homebuilding is highly desirable.
- Manufacturing accounting experience is a plus.
- Microsoft Dynamics SL, Oracle, and/or Sage experience preferred.
