About the role

  • The Chaplain is to provide spiritual care to patients, families, and staff throughout the hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the ministry of the department by spiritual care and emotional support to patients and families through regular rounding in clinical areas, crisis response, and responding to all hospital codes.
  • Provides grief support and counseling as appropriate to deceased's family and friends.
  • Provide staff support through regular rounding, organized support programs, and debriefings.
  • Collaborates with local religious leaders, chaplain volunteers, visiting clergy, and spiritual caregivers.
  • In this highly visible, fast-paced, and challenging position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our patients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, Masters of Theology or Equivalent, or in the process of obtaining a Master's Degree.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
