  • Job Description Cumming Group is currently hiring a Commissioning Manager to be based in Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the commissioning process from project initiation through turnover, coordinating owners, design teams, contractors, vendors, and testing providers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop Commissioning Plans and Commissioning Reports, which may include recommendations for optimizing building operations, functional checklists, deficiency logs, equipment operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Perform commissioning-focused reviews of design drawings, specifications, and material or equipment submittals at key project milestones and document findings, recommendations, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain commissioning issues logs and coordinate resolution of deficiencies identified throughout design, construction, startup, and functional testing. Track corrective actions and confirm resolution.
  • Develop functional performance test scripts and procedures; witness and document functional performance testing performed by contractors, vendors, and testing providers.
  • Verify testing is conducted in accordance with approved commissioning procedures; document results, observations, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
  • Review, coordinate, and support development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Methods of Procedure (MOPs) for critical facility operations and commissioning activities.
  • Perform fundamental and enhanced commissioning in support of client LEED goals.
  • Knowledge of building systems performance and solutions for reducing operational emissions.
  • Perform field energy audits and support development of ASHRAE Level audit reports.

Requirements

  • Knowledge & Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Skills

  • Strong technical writing, documentation management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor scope throughout the project and recommend adjustments when necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
