Responsibilities

  • This role is specifically designed to evaluate component deviations ensuring the quality and precision of vehicle body assembly and surface quality, focusing on precise fit, form, function and visual appearance.
  • Investigate atypical geometric and fitment conditions occurring during prototype, pre-series, and series production builds and determine appropriate containment or corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Product Engineering, and Dimensional Engineering teams to resolve vehicle geometry and dimensional quality concerns.

Requirements

  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
  • 10+ years of experience evaluating part geometry using gages and fixtures.
  • Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control.
  • Ability to visualize part in three-dimensional space and explain topics to non-technical team members.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and GD&T.
  • Ability to assemble vehicle components with precision to RPS coordinates.
  • CMM and OMM software proficiency
  • Previous experience in the evaluating part and assembly geometry.
  • Familiarity with manual and automated measuring equipment.
  • Familiarity with measurement database software

Nice to have

  • Domestic and international travel required, approximately 5-10% of the time.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Passport preferred but not required upon hire.

Compensation

  • $95,000.00 - $120,000.00
  • This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program.
  • Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.
  • The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
