Responsibilities

  • Oversees day-to-day building operations, including security, janitorial, parking, maintenance, repairs, and other property services.
  • Oversees management of the building work order system, including tenant and vendor interface.
  • Oversees building access, including key management, access card system management, and related procedures.
  • Manages property amenities, including conference room spaces, gyms, and other tenant-facing amenities.
  • Oversees and maintains an innovative tenant relations program that promotes favorable landlord/tenant relationships.
  • This includes having the legal right to work in the United States without the need for the Company support or sponsorship for any immigration-related employment authorization (e.g., H-1B, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, F-1 CPT, etc.) now or in the future.
  • DivcoWest is seeking an experienced Property Manager to support our property management operations across its Washington, D.C. market portfolio.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in commercial real estate property management required.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employer support or sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Knowledge of general accounting, budgeting, lease administration, and building/property operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to maintain a positive attitude and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize competing demands, and manage time and workload to meet property and client needs.
  • Desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and professional environment.
  • Physical Demands
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with others
  • operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
  • move throughout office and property environments
  • remain in a stationary position for extended periods
  • and use hands and arms to reach, handle and operate office equipment or property-related materials. Occasionally the employee is required to lift objects that weigh up to 50 pounds, safely maneuver active construction zones, climb up and down ladders, and walk up and down multiple flights of stairs.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, MRI, Building Engines/Prism, Nexus, or similar systems preferred.

Compensation

  • $90,000 - $120,000 annually
  • Annual bonus opportunity
  • This policy applies to all areas of employment, including recruitment, testing, screening, hiring, selection for training, upgrading, transfer, demotion, layoff, discipline, termination, compensation, benefits, and all other privileges, terms, and conditions of employment.
  • Reviews and approves invoices to ensure proper expenditure control and alignment with the annual budget.
  • Creates annual operating budgets and works with engineering to identify capital projects.
