Responsibilities
- The Maintenance - Packaging Machinist will under minimal direction of management or other employees, safely performs and guides: the coordination and repair, replacement, installation, inspection, enhancement, optimization, testing and troubleshooting of all pack floor facilities, including high-speed packaging equipment such as cartoners, case packers, etc.
- Working knowledge of PLC, Frequency Drives, Process Controls is a plus.
- Performs Preventative Maintenance Routines including accurate, complete, and timely follow-up documentation. This documentation includes computerized work order updates, inventory transactions, verbal and written reports, etc.
- Perform all tasks and responsibilities in a fashion that assures personal safety and the safety of others and equipment. Report any non-conformance to safety standards.
- Actively participates and/or leads in project initiatives and selected cross-functional teams as approved
- Performs/follows quality related practices (i.e. SPC, TQM, GMP etc.)
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years' experience in a similar role
- As the Maintenance - Packaging Machinist must have mechanical experience and knowledge with high-speed packaging equipment, hydraulics including DCV valves, pneumatics including different types of actuating cylinders, gearboxes, drive systems, transport conveyors and associated subcomponents, and performing line mechanical changeovers.
- All activities must be performed in strict compliance with Unilever standards and safety guidelines.
- Required to stay up to date on emerging technologies and techniques relating to area(s) of expertise.

- Effectively uses hand/power tools and shop equipment to machine, manufacture or modify and/or repair parts from drawings and/or sample.
Compensation
- Rate - $ $39.49 (with increases after completion of training/probationary periods to $ 44.14) - Weekly Pay Periods
