About the role

As our country expanded, so did the need to supply growing cities with clean water and safely remove wastewater.
Our location history starts in 1865 when Warren Foundry and Machine Company casted stoves, steam engines, mill gearing and other foundry related items.
Currently we specialize in the casting of iron ductile pipes that range from 3" to 24" in diameter.

Perform manual labor tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and operating tools such as chipping guns and rammers.
Clean and maintain slag and iron handling equipment, including bull ladles, tap holes, slag notches, and runners to ensure proper function and integrity.
Chip, repair, rebuild, and maintain tap holes, slag notches, and related components, ensuring correct measurements and daily inspection of high spots and slag areas.
Maintain the integrity and condition of the melt box, spout, and associated equipment.
Perform start-up and operational duties, such as lancing out the tap hole and supporting bottom drop activities as assigned.
Maintain a clean and orderly melt deck and work area through good housekeeping practices.
Complete additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to support production and operational needs.
The Senior Melter Spare supports melting department by maintaining and repairing critical furnace and related equipment to ensure safe, efficient production.
