- General Description: An OU Health Registered Nurse (RN) II works under general supervision and provides nursing care in a hospital setting to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification required upon hire.
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Knowledge of advanced professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
- RN II represents the competent nurse who meets expectations outlined in the baseline job description while advancing to proficiency.
Nice to have
- Specialty certification(s) preferred.
Skills
- They are able to care for complex patients requiring a high level of technical and clinical skills.
