Responsibilities

  • Drive Documentation Strategy: Lead documentation planning by analyzing customer needs, coordinating project timelines, and managing schedules to ensure mission-critical information is delivered on time.
  • Produce High-Impact Content: Develop a wide range of materials including operating policies, field and administrative manuals, technical reports, and instructional procedures and guides, ensuring everything meets rigorous regulatory and internal standards.
  • Visualize Data: Create and edit flowcharts, photos, and diagrams, including technical schematics with guidance from subject matter experts to enhance document comprehension.
  • Ensure Precision and Accessibility: Perform meticulous document reviews for grammar and formatting, while managing the testing and publication of online resources.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Serve as a key contributor on project teams, applying technical expertise to cross-functional initiatives that support Metropolitan operations.
  • This recruitment will be used to build an Eligibility List.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and four years of relevant experience
  • Valid California Class C Driver's License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
  • You also have a proven track record in policy and manual development, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all organizational documentation.
  • CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS License(s): Valid California Class C Driver's License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
  • You are highly proficient in advanced word processing and diagramming software, with the ability to interpret and edit engineering drawings and schematics with guidance from subject matter experts.
